Improved wrinkles in glass fiber fabrics! Overcoming the barrier of "creases"

[Problem] Delicate fabrics were under stress
The "folded wrinkles" that are unique to glass fiber fabrics could not be eliminated with a flat expander roll. The main cause of this problem with conventional rolls was that the fabric was subjected to excessive stress as it was being conveyed. For delicate glass fiber, even slight rotational resistance or friction could cause wrinkles.
[Solution] Achieves "ultra-low torque" without the need for a drive unit
The expander roll that caught the customer's attention was our "OSMT low torque type." The biggest deciding factor was that it "does not require a drive unit." Because it operates with extremely low rotational torque, it does not apply unnecessary friction or tension to the fabric, and is able to rotate and expand smoothly using only the natural tension of the fabric.

Without adding any special drive devices or complex controls, simply installing the roll dramatically improved the creases that had occurred in certain glass fiber fabrics. This eliminated the need for labor on the winding line and enabled the stable production of high-quality products without slowing down production speed.

"Heat-resistant expander roll that can operate in an environment of 160°C"
[Problem] Roll deformation due to high temperature environment of 160℃
Wrinkles were forming on fabric products in drying ovens with a maximum ambient temperature of approximately 160°C, resulting in significant product loss. With conventional heat-resistant rolls, simply changing the bearing grease or making the rubber material more heat-resistant was not enough, and problems were occurring due to the rubber's expansion and contraction caused by thermal expansion. The customer was greatly concerned that there was no heat-resistant roll that could be directly installed in the drying oven.
[Solution] Unique structure that controls thermal expansion
To address this issue, we proposed an innovative heat-resistant expander roll that fundamentally improved the problems caused by thermal expansion. The roll controls the movement of thermal expansion even in high-temperature environments of approximately 160°C, realizing a structure that is less likely to cause problems. This is a one-of-a-kind product that can be installed directly in a drying oven.
[Results] Dramatic reduction in product loss
By introducing our heat-resistant expander roll into the drying oven, we were able to solve the long-standing problem of wrinkles in fabric products. This dramatically reduced product loss in the drying oven, enabling stable production of high-quality products.
